July 2019 – Attended the INFORMS HEALTHCARE 2019 Conference in Boston. I will give two talks: (1) Optimal optimization-based clustering techniques for the purpose of disease risk categorizations, and (2) A regret-based approach for the construction of screening strategies for dynamic and time-varying settings.

June 2019 – Visiting Scholar in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at American University of Beirut.

May 2019 – Received the IISE Pritsker Doctoral Dissertation Award, 1st place!

May 2019 – Attended the IISE Annual Conference in Orlando.

April 2019 – Received the 2019 Distinguished Young Alumni Award, selected by the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the American University of Beirut.

April 2019 – Attended the IDEAS Conference at the American University of Beirut.

November 2018 – Attended the INFORMS 2018 Annual Meeting in Phoenix. I will talk about large-scale screening of heterogeneous populations with the possibility of multiple competing tests.

August 2018 – Our work, titled “Public health screening: One size does not fit all”, was featured in IISE Magazine!

May 2018 – Awarded 1st place for the Paul E. Torgersen Graduate Research Ph.D. poster competition

May 2018 – Our paper “Optimal Risk-based Group Testing” has been accepted for publication in Management Science!

February 2018 – Our paper “Prevalence estimation with pooling and continuous test outcomes under limited resources” has been accepted for publication in Statistic in Medicine!

January 2018 – Our paper “Adaptive Risk-based Pooling in Public Health Screening” has been accepted for publication in IISE Transactions!

October 2017 – Our paper “Optimal risk-based group testing strategies, with equity considerations” was runner-up for the 2017 Pierskalla Award!

October 2017 – Dissertation was Finalist for the 2017 Bonder Scholar for Applied Operations Research in Health Services.

October 2017 – Attended the INFORMS 2017 Annual Meeting in Phoenix. I will talk about static screening schemes under imperfectly observable risk.
